How it Works

MI Will & Trust will gather some basic initial information and will then send you a more detailed questionnaire after you have selected a product. Initial drafts of all documents will be sent to you digitally. After you have reviewed and approved the documents, we will mail you a hard-copy of the documents for execution along with a pre-paid return envelope. An attorney will review the execution of the documents, and MI Will and Trust will scan digital copies of the documents and mail you the original documents

Single-Person, Will Based Estate Plan Starting at $599

A will based estate plan includes a Last Will and Testament, Instructions for the Distribution of Personal Property, Financial Power of Attorney, Patient Advocate Designation, HIPPA Authorization and Waiver, and an instructional letter. This package includes two, 30 minute remote-video consultation with your drafting attorney to discuss your goals and review your documents.

Married-Couple, Will Based Estate Plan Starting at $799

A will based estate plan for a married couple includes the following documents for each spouse: Last Wills and Testaments, Instructions for the Distribution of Personal Property, Financial Power of Attorney, Patient Advocate Designation, HIPPA Authorization and Waiver, and an instructional letter. This package includes two, 30 minute remote-video consultations with your drafting attorney to discuss your goals and to review your documents.

A trust-based estate plan includes a Revocable Living Trust, Pour-Over Will, Certificate of Trust, Declaration of Trust, Assignment of Personal Property, Instructions for the Distribution of Tangible Personal Property, Financial Power of Attorney, Patient Advocate Designation, HIPPA Authorization and Waiver, and an instructional letter. Married-Couple, Joint-Trust Based Estate Plan Starting at $1299

Financial Power of Attorney and Patient Advocate Designation $299

These documents are important for all individuals age 18 and over. The financial power of attorney gives your agent the authority to engage in financial transactions on your behalf, and can be immediately effective or effective only when you become incapacitated. The Patient Advocate Designation gives your patient advocate the authority to make medical decisions for you after you are no longer able to make informed decisions.

Ladybird Deed

Starting at $249

A Ladybird Deed, also known as an Enhanced Life-Estate Deed, allows you to retain all rights with respect to real property during your lifetime, and then for the property to pass automatically upon your death to a remainder beneficiary.

Document Recording

$50 per recorded document

We will record each document with the appropriate register of deeds and return the original to you for safekeeping.

Elder Law Consultation

1 hour consultation on elder law topics. The consultation will focus on the area(s) that you request, which can include Guardianships, Conservatorships, Long-Term Care Planning, and Medicaid.
